Annie French gave me two pairs of overalls that belonged to her father-in-law who passed away last year. She asked me to make two lap quilts out of the overalls, one that they'll give to her mother-in-law and the other that they'll give to her sister in law for Christmas. Annie chose the other fabrics in the quilts because they reminded her of bandanas that he used to wear. Along with the overalls are a couple of other items that belong to her father-in-law that she wanted incorporated into the quilts. This memory quilt was made for Charlotte to give to her daughter, Eron. Andrea asked me to make this quilt from t-shirts that had sentimental value to her. This quilt was made for Vicky's 50th birthday using pictures provided by her sister, Bobbie. Elaine asked me to make this t-shirt quilt for her daughter, Shannon, for her birthday. Shannon was very active in sports, Brownies/Girl Scouts and ran for Monroe County Fair Queen, all of which are showcased in this quilt. My stepdaughter, Jennifer, asked me to make this quilt for her to give to her good friend, Shari, for Christmas. It has a family picture in the center surrounded by their children's pictures. I created the design for this quilt. This t-shirt quilt was made for Elaine using her son's sports t-shirts. I used the McTavishing quilting style on this quilt, which is very time consuming, but really makes the t-shirts stand out. This quilt was made for Mary Ellen Smith to give to her daughter, Joy. The pictures are of Joy's two sons from birth to high school. This quilt was made for Jean and Jack Hall to give to Jack's mom. I made this quilt for our grandson, Nathan, for his 9th birthday. He loves his dogs and refers to his chocolate lab, Max, as his best friend. On the quilt are pictures of Nathan with his dogs, Shelby (now deceased), Max and Sunny. This memory quilt was made for my dear friend, Linda Lou, for her birthday using pictures borrowed from her son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Rachel. This quilt was made for Bobbie using pictures of her son and her family. Justin Knauer passed away a couple of years ago at the age of 15. This quilt was made for Stacey using her brother's t-shirts and pictures. Stacey's brother, Justin Knauer, passed away a couple of years ago at the age 15. This quilt was made for Rita. Her grandson, Kevin, was a member of the Highland All Stars and they won the State Championship in 2004. This is the second quilt for Nancy. These pictures are from her husband's side of the family, and they will be giving it to his parents for Christmas. This quilt was one of two quilts made for Nancy. Her father passed away last June and she is going to give it to her mother for Christmas. This quilt was made for Cathy whose father passed away a couple of years ago. Cathy, along with her brothers, wants to give it to their mom for Christmas. Their parents were married for 56 years. This is a t-shirt quilt I made for a couple whose son passed away in January 2004 at the age 15. His name was Justin Knauer. I used a plaid quilting stitch for the sashing and borders. I made this quilt for my parents. I scanned their old black and white photos and printed them on photo transfer paper, then ironed the photos onto the fabric. I used stitch-in-the-ditch entirely on this quilt.
