I made this quilt for my niece's baby due in August. I used mostly batik fabrics on the front and chinchilla minkee on the back.
I made this quilt for Ali's baby girl due in August. I used pastel prints with a white print on the front and pink dot minkee fabric on the back.
I made this quilt for Ben (my nephew) and Ashly's baby boy, Aedan, who was born in late February. I used red minkee fabric on the back of the quilt.
This quilt was made for Richie and Amanda Field's second son, Jude. Richie works with my husband, Gene. I used bright batik fabrics for the braid, a colorful print for the background and green minkee on the back.
I made this book bag for our youngest granddaughter, Journey. For the pocket on the front I layered nine fabrics, stitched around the letters of her name and the design that I created and cut down to the desired color. I added crystals for eyes on the bee and ladybug and a few randomly placed on the pocket. I then added four heart buttons where the handles attached to the bag.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Parker, for her big girl bed. We found this quilt in a magazine, but the name of the quilt was not known by the quilter, so she called it Asher's Quilt after her granddaughter.
I made this quilt for my daughter-in-law, Nellie, to give to her childhood friend, Sarah. This was a great scrappy quilt using blue, turquoise and green print fabrics. I used blue dot minkee fabric on the back.
I made this quilt for Lance Davis' first grandchild, Kinley. She's not supposed to be born until early June, but is threatening to come early. Allie (i.e. mom) has been having contractions.
I made this quilt for Kara and Brent's baby, Myles. I used blue batik and white tone on tone fabric on the front and blue minkee fabric on the back.
This quilt was made for Matt and Melissa's baby boy. I used two different fabrics on the front of this quilt, white and indigo batik cascade. The batik cascade fabric goes from light blue to navy blue. The pattern was created by Julie Higgins, a member of our quilt guild.
This quilt was made for Phil and Paula's baby girl. I saw several black and white with a little bit of red quilts that I really liked and started collecting black and white fabric a couple of years ago. Phil is like a second son to me, so I wanted to make their baby this special quilt. I used black with white dot minkee on the back of the quilt.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Lana. Her twin's quilt was made using the same fabrics, but different pattern. I used purple minkee on the back of both quilts.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Trinity. Her twin's quilt was made using the same fabrics, but different pattern. I used purple minkee on the back of both quilts.
This quilt was made for our newest granddaughter, Journey Blue Harden. I had her three older sisters draw pictures and incorporated them into Journey's quilt. I also wrote all the information from Journey's birth on a block in the quilt.
This was made as a charity kid's quilt using fossil fern fabrics. It will be given to one of many charity groups that our Guild donates quilts to in order to comfort a child that has been removed from an abusive home or lost their home to a fire. The kids get to keep these quilts.
I made these book bags for our twin granddaughters, Lana and Trinity. Our daughter-in-law, Nellie, asked if I could make them book bags because they're now picking out books at the library. They've been sharing their older sister's book bag, but it's time they had ones of their own. Trinity loves the "Brown Bear" book, so when I saw this fabric, I knew I had to use it in their book bags.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Parker, who was born on June 11, 2008. It was the first quilt that I've made from a kit. I used red minkee fabric on the back of the quilt.
This quilt was made for Ann Love. I used flannel fabrics on the front and blue minkee fabric on the back.
This quilt was made for Ann Love. I used cotton fabrics on the front and pink minkee fabric on the back.
I made this quilt for our guests to use when they come to visit. I saw this block in a book, but there was no pattern for it, so I recreated it using my Electric Quilt program. I do not know the name of the block, but the quilt reminds me of something that I'd see on a bed in the south. That is where I came up with the name Southern Blue.
This quilt was made for my step-daughter's cousin's baby. This will be their first baby and they've decided not to find out ahead of time the sex of the baby. They both love dogs, so this quilt was made using fabrics with dogs on them. Minkee was used for the back of this baby quilt.
I made this quilt for my granddaughter, Parker, who was born on June 11. The pattern for this quilt was created by one of the women in our local quilt guild, Julie Higgins.
This quilt was made for Noah Field. His father, Richie, works with my husband, Gene. I used pictures from a fabric panel for the front along with other fabrics from the same fabric line. I put minkee fabric on the back and did a meandering quilting pattern around the pictures.
This quilt was made for two-year old Becca White. I made quilts for her twin baby brother and sister in January 2008. Becca's older sibling already had a quilt and her younger siblings had quilts, and Becca wanted to know where her quilt was. She likes giraffes, so I used fabric that had giraffes and yellow ducks on it. I made half-square triangles using the giraffe fabric and white chenille fabric and set them on point and then alternated them with yellow plaid fabric. I used yellow minkee fabric on the back of the quilt.
I made this quilt and pillow shams for our granddaughter, Madison Taylor. She is getting a "big girl" bed because she's figure out how to escape from her crib. I wanted to make her this "big girl" quilt and pillow shams for her new bed.
I made this quilt to be auctioned off at our Guild's quilt show in November 2008. I got the pattern and fabric from Craft Town when I was at our Guild's winter retreat at Spring Mill State Park Inn.
I made this quilt for our guests to use when they come to visit. Most of the fabrics in this quilt are from the "Quest for the Cure" fabric line. I entered this quilt in the 2008 Monroe County Fair and it won Grand Champion.
I made this quilt for a new quilt shop in town, Shiisa Quilts. I used a Moda 2 1/2 inch jelly roll. This quilt will be displayed at Shiisa Quilts for up to six months.

My son, Brian, asked me to make this quilt for Molly Alexis White, born 12-30-07, 9:16 pm, weighing only 4 lbs. 10 oz. and 18 inches long. Molly is the daughter of one of his co-workers, and she and her twin brother, Samuel, surprised their parents and came six weeks early. I used mainly flannel fabrics with some cotton and minkee. I fussy cut the animal fabric and then cut various sizes of the other fabrics to make a variation of the Yellow Brick Road quilt. In the lower right-hand corner of the quilt I put her name and the details of her birth.
My son, Brian, asked me to make this quilt for Samuel Ryan White, born 12-30-07, 9:20 pm, weighing only 4 lbs. 7 oz. and 18 1/2 inches long. Samuel is the son of one of his co-workers, and he and his twin sister, Molly, surprised their parents and came six weeks early. I used mainly flannel fabrics with some cotton and minkee. I fussy cut the animal fabric and then cut various sizes of the other fabrics to make a variation of the Yellow Brick Road quilt. In the lower right-hand corner of the quilt I put his name and the details of his birth.
I made this book bag to give to our granddaughter, Skyla, at the birth of her twin sisters. Skyla loves books so we also bought her some books for her book bag. I made the book bag and quilted it. For the pocket on the front I layered six fabrics, stitched around the design that I created and cut down to the desired color for each section of the design leaving about 1/4" next to the stitching. I then snipped the remaining 1/4" of fabric every 1/8" or so and washed and dried it giving it a Chenille look. I did the same around the outside of the pocket. The larger butterfly represents Skyla and the two smaller butterflies represent her baby sisters. I hope that she likes it.
We found out early last spring that our daughter-in-law, Nellie, was expecting twins due in October, so I had to get busy making baby quilts. I let Nellie pick out the patterns and fabrics for the quilts, but I got to decide which baby gets which quilt. Both babies are girls. I picked this quilt for the bigger and more active baby, Trinity, (formerly known as Twin A) because I thought the bright colors might give her something to focus on.

I let Nellie pick out the patterns and fabrics for the quilts, but I got to decide which baby gets which quilt. Both babies are girls. I picked this quilt for the smaller and shy baby, Lana, (formerly known as Twin B) because I thought the pastel colors would be calming to her.
This quilt was made for Karen McCrosky to give to her niece, Shannon, who is having a baby in July. Shannon picked out the quilt pattern and provided some of the fabric for this quilt. This quilt is only 37"x45", but has over 400 pieces in it.

Ann Love asked me to make this baby quilt for a baby shower that she was attending. The baby's father requested that the baby's room be decorated in purple and gold. I used flannel fabrics in this quilt.
Michele gave me Mauricio's crib bumper pad and asked me to use the picture blocks from it to make a quilt because they were moving Mauricio out of his crib into a child's bed and wanted to be able to use the accessories that match the bumper pad in his room.
This quilt was made for our granddaughter, Madison. We gave her a wagon for Christmas and she needed something soft to sit on while riding in the wagon. I pulled the bear patterns from my EQ6 program and used a new technique I just learned about in our local Guild meeting.
This quilt was made for our granddaughter, Skyla. I used the bugs and turtle patterns from another quilt and created the design for this quilt. The quilt and shams were made for her first big-girl bed. She loves butterflies.
I made this quilt for my son and daughter-in-law. They asked for one for Christmas, but I had already made the quilt two months earlier as a surprise Christmas gift. It was also my first attempt at pillow shams.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Madison, who is expected to be born around August 8. I used a very soft furry polyester fabric for the lion's mane and the tip of its tail. I did not sew the tip of the tail down to the quilt so that is can flop.
I made this quilt for my niece, Tonya's, baby shower. I thought that the dog looked like Clifford The Big Red Dog, so I got a couple of Clifford books to go with the quilt.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Madison. Her parents put a couple of Beatrix Potter prints (author of Peter Rabbit) on the nursery wall, so I made this quilt to go with that theme. The center of this quilt was made using a panel of fabric.
This quilt was made for our niece's baby, Cierra Marie Younts. Her room will be decorated in Winnie the Pooh, so I used various Winnie the Pooh fabrics and then quilted it using meandering around the hearts, and loops and daisies everywhere else. I also embroidered her name in the lower right-hand corner of the quilt.

I made this quilt for our granddaughter, Madison. We found out at Christmas that my daughter and son-in-law are expecting their first baby around August 9, 2006. This was the first whole cloth quilt that I've made. I designed it with a teddy bear in the center, letter blocks in the corners and hearts and feathering to fill in.
My mother-in-law made this quilt top before she passed away in June 1993. My father-in-law recently gave me the quilt top so that I could finish it. I used stitch in the ditch around the squares and feathering in the white areas.
I made this quilt for my stepdaughter for Christmas. She asked for a quilt for her bed that would match her yellow walls. She did not want any white on the quilt because she has animals that like to get on the bed.
I made this bench cushion for my daughter-in-law for Christmas with leftover fabric from my stepdaughter's quilt. We got her the bench for Christmas and I wanted to add a little personal touch to it.
I modified the center of the Land of the Midnight Sun block. This was made for my husband's aunt because she loves cats but can't have them in her apartment.
Our local Quilt Guild makes children's quilts and donate them to children in need. This was a donation quilt that I made using chenille.
I donated this quilt to a benefit that was raising money to help pay for medical expenses for our nephew who has cancer. This quilt was very time consuming, but a lot of fun to make. It has 12 different blocks using the same fabrics. I used small meandering in all of the white areas and a free-style leaf pattern in the sashing and light blue border.
This quilt was made using tie-dye fabric and and beige minkee fabric. I used a daisy and loop quilting style on this quilt.
A friend gave me this fabric and pattern for my birthday last year. I was so busy making quilts for other people, that it was several months before I could get started on it. It was several more months before I finished it because every time that I was asked to make a quilt for someone else, I put my quilt away and worked on theirs. This is one of my favorite quilts. I used stitch-in-the-ditch and a floral pattern in the larger open areas.
I made this for a friend's newborn grandson. I used the Hartley fence with the circular guide for the quilting.
I made this for a friend's five year old granddaughter. I used a freestyle floral quilting on it. I also used silver thread and added crystals to add extra sparkle to it.
My sister asked me to make her a quilt for her living room wall. I thought this quilt would look nice as a wall hanging. I used stitch-in-the-ditch around the stars, stippling (tiny meandering) in the white areas around the stars and loops and leaves in the other areas.
I made this quilt for our granddaughter.
This is another quilt that I made for our granddaughter, Skyla. I used a medium size meandering for this quilt.
I made this quilt to put in the crib we keep at our house when our granddaughter comes to visit. I had some extra pink fabric and covered the crib's bumper pad with it, so that the bumper pad and quilt match. I used a loop freestyle on this quilt.
I made this quilt for a co-worker's baby. I purchased a crib sheet she was using in her nursery and used it in the quilt so that it matched her crib sheets.
I made this quilt for our eight year old grandson, Nathan. I used stitch-in-the-ditch around the bookcase, large meandering in the blue border and smaller meandering in the black areas.

I made one for us and one for each of our three children for Christmas. I used stitch-in-the-ditch for this quilt.
This was the second quilt top that I made, and it's my favorite. I had Jane Pitt also quilt this one for me.
This was my first quilt top I made. I had Jane Pitt quilt this one for me.
